The Establishment of Terra Cracovianum

TypeAnnouncement from the Association
IssuedMay 2026

Dear Reader,

In May 2026, seven students at the University of Economics in Kraków, all studying international relations, decided to establish a new analytical center. That is how the Terra Cracovianum think tank was born.

We wanted to create a place where we could conduct research that truly interests us and address issues that other institutions of this type often overlook. Each of us, upon joining this project, brought our own area of passion—a field in which we truly specialize and wish to develop. By combining our academic experience with a broad perspective on the world, we decided to shed new light on contemporary geopolitics

We live in a time of rapid change and groundbreaking events. At Terra Cracovianum, we believe that the younger generation of analysts offers a perspective that is free from traditional frameworks—one that is flexible, reliable, and based on hard data. Our identity as residents of Kraków and the Lesser Poland region compels us to draw on the rich intellectual traditions of this city and region, yet our focus is on the global processes shaping the future of our country, Europe, and the world.

All the results of our work—analyses, reports, commentaries, recordings, and original research—will be regularly published online. Our main hub is the website terracracovianum.org, but we are also active on many other platforms that together form our online presence. We want these spaces to become venues for substantive discussion and a source of knowledge for anyone who wants to better understand the mechanisms governing today’s world.

I invite you to join us on this journey, follow our publications, and participate in the discussion.
